Faha est un village et une ancienne commune allemande de Mettlach, dans l’arrondissement de Merzig-Wadern. Jusqu’à la fin de 1973, Faha était une municipalité indépendante. Le village est situé sur la Sarre.
En 768, l’évêque Angilram de Metz fait don de la Villa Faho à l’abbaye de Gorze. Au 12ème siècle, les nobles hommes libres de Vah sont mentionnés dans des documents de l’archevêché de Trèves. Son château était situé à environ 600 mètres au nord-ouest du centre-ville actuel. Les seigneurs de Vah étaient également Burgmannen au château de Montclair à une époque ultérieure. Leur trace s’est perdue au 14ème siècle. Le village de Faha a appartenu à l’électorat de Trèves pendant des siècles.
