Pfalzdorf, situé à la basse vallée du Rhin dans le nord-ouest de la Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, est un quartier de Goch. Avant d'être intégré en 1969, c'était l'un des plus grands villages d'Allemagne en termes de superficie. Ce village dispersé fait partie de la soi-disant île linguistique palatine au Niederrhein.
Pfalzdorf se trouve à gauche du Rhin, dans la plaine basse rhénane, entre Goch, Kalkar et Kleve, sur les hauteurs de Pfalzdorf, qui sont une partie du massif du Niederrhein. Les localités voisines sont Bedburg-Hau au nord, Louisendorf au nord-est, Keppeln à l'est, Goch au sud, Asperden au sud-ouest et Nierswalde à l'ouest.
