Ostro est un village de Haute-Lusace appartenant à la municipalité de Panschwitz-Kuckau en Saxe orientale . Il fait partie de l'arrondissement de Bautzen et se trouve dans une région qui est le berceau des Sorabes. Sa population était de 279 habitants en 2010.
Le village est situé au sud-ouest de la Haute-Lusace, à 5 km à l'est d'Elstra et à 2 km au sud de Pantschwitz-Kuckau, et à l'ouest de la vallée de la rivière Klosterwasser. Il se trouve entre 183 et 220 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer.
