Wohlsdorf est situé à environ 10 km au sud-est de la ville de district de Bernburg. Le Grand Étang de Wiendorf est le plus grand plan d'eau intérieur du territoire de l'ancien district de Bernburg. La commune comprenait le quartier de Crüchern.
Dans le quartier de Crüchern, il y a depuis 1963 une fanfare, qui appartient aux pompiers volontaires de Wohlsdorf/Crüchern.
