Wohlsdorf se encuentra a unos 10 km al sureste de la ciudad de Bernburg. El Gran Estanque Wiendorfer es el mayor cuerpo de agua interior en el área del antiguo distrito de Bernburg. La antigua comuna incluía el barrio de Crüchern.
En el barrio de Crüchern hay desde 1963 una banda de chirimías, que pertenece al Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios de Wohlsdorf/Crüchern.
