Le lieu est situé à l'ouest du cœur de Sottrum, directement le long de l'A 1 qui traverse à l'est. À la périphérie sud du village coule la Wieste, un affluent droit de la Wümme. Le long de la Wieste s'étend la réserve naturelle de Wiestetal, allant d'Ottersberg au sud-ouest jusqu'à Mulmshorn au nord. La route des moulins de Basse-Saxe passe par Stuckenborstel, en passant devant le moulin à eau de Stuckenborstel.
