El lugar se encuentra al oeste del núcleo de Sottrum, directamente a lo largo de la A 1 que transcurre hacia el este. En el borde sur del pueblo fluye la Wieste, un afluente derecho del Wümme. A lo largo de la Wieste se extiende desde Ottersberg en el suroeste hasta Mulmshorn en el norte la zona de protección ambiental Wiestetal. A través de Stuckenborstel, pasando por el molino de agua Stuckenborstel, transcurre la Ruta de los Molinos de Baja Sajonia.
