Veldrom, Feldrom et Kempen forment, depuis la réforme municipale de 1970, une localité qui appartient à la ville de Horn-Bad Meinberg et se situe dans le district de Lippe, dans le gouvernement de Detmold, en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie. Environ 830 personnes vivent dans le village.
Historiquement, Veldrom, qui se trouve dans la vallée, faisait partie de la principauté protestante de Lippe. Feldrom, qui est situé sur le flanc de l'Egge, et le village voisin Kempen étaient unis avant 1970 dans la commune de Kempenfeldrom et ont pendant des siècles constitué le coin le plus au nord du diocèse catholique de Paderborn, auquel ils ont été rattachés en 1802 lors de leur incorporation dans la Prusse.
