Carolinensiel est une ville allemande située dans l’arrondissement de Wittmund en Basse-Saxe. Officiellement, c’est un quartier de Wittmund. Il est situé sur la Harle, quelques kilomètres avant que cette rivière ne se jette dans la mer des Wadden. Carolinensiel comprend le quartier de Friedrichsgroden et le village de vacances et portuaire de Harlesiel, sur la côte de la mer des Wadden, à 2 km au nord de Carolinensiel elle-même.
