Langbroich est situé à environ quatre kilomètres au nord de Gangelt, le long des routes départementales 3 et 17. Près du village se trouve la réserve naturelle de Höngener- et Saeffeler Bruch, située au bord du ruisseau Saeffeler.
En cas de fortes pluies et de fonte des neiges, les eaux de surface de la région de Langbroich s'écoulent vers le ruisseau Saeffeler, puis continuent par le Rodebach jusqu'à la Meuse. Le ruisseau Saeffeler mesure 12,747 km de long et a un bassin versant total de 47,479 km².
La source du ruisseau Saeffeler se trouvait à l'origine à Langbroich, au niveau de la bifurcation Quellstraße – Brauereistraße.
