Le soulèvement du Dos de Mayo de 1808 est le nom sous lequel on désigne la rébellion du peuple madrilène contre l'occupation de la ville par les Français, et qui s'étendit dans toute l'Espagne. Il marque le début de la guerre d'indépendance espagnole.
Il est aujourd'hui célébré dans la Communauté autonome de Madrid comme « Jour de la communauté » .
