La rivolta del due di maggio è il nome con il quale si conoscono i fatti violenti accaduti a Madrid il 2 maggio 1808, scaturiti dalla protesta popolare dinanzi alla situazione di incertezza politica generatasi in seguito al Motín de Aranjuez. Repressa la protesta dalle forze napoleoniche presenti in città, si sparse per tutto il paese un'ondata di proclami di indignazione e incitazioni pubbliche all'insurrezione armata che sarebbe sboccata nella guerra d'indipendenza spagnola.
