Brinon-sur-Sauldre est une commune française située dans le département du Cher en région Centre-Val de Loire.Le village est situé en Sologne à une vingtaine de kilomètres à l'est de Lamotte-Beuvron et à une vingtaine de kilomètres au sud-ouest de Sully-sur-Loire. Il est situé sur la Grande Sauldre, un peu au sud du canal de la Sauldre. Le paysage est essentiellement forestier .
