La cathédrale de Beauvais est la plus haute cathédrale gothique du monde (48 mètres jusqu'aux voûtes). D'autres sites notables comprennent l'église Saint-Étienne, partiellement romane, partiellement gothique, avec des vitraux, le palais épiscopal et le musée des tapis Galerie nationale de la tapisserie de Beauvais. La ville était autrefois un important centre de la tapisserie.
À Beauvais se trouve le troisième aéroport de Paris en termes de passagers, l'aéroport de Paris Beauvais Tillé.
