Paradou, parfois nommée localement Le Paradou, est une commune française, située dans le département des Bouches-du-Rhône en région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.Située au pied des Baux-de-Provence, à 14 kilomètres à l'est d'Arles et à 2 kilomètres de Maussane-les-Alpilles, la commune s'adosse à la chaîne des Alpilles. Il tient son nom de l'appellation locale des moulins à eau qu'exploitaient des tisserands au fil de la rivière Arcoule.
