Située dans un petit bassin près des sources de l’Argens, dans une région que cernent au nord des collines boisées, entrecoupées de vignobles et au sud les assises du massif de la Sainte-Baume, Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume se signale à l’attention par sa basilique .
