Montlhéry est une commune française située dans le département de l’Essonne en région Île-de-France.
Éminente cité du Hurepoix, fief de la famille de Montlhéry depuis l’an 991 puis domaine royal à partir de 1118, Montlhéry est célèbre pour sa tour, la bataille qui s’y déroula le 16 juillet 1465 et sa présence stratégique sur l’axe historique majeur de Paris à Orléans, aujourd’hui l'ancienne route nationale 20.
