La randonnée commence à l'Auberge Chaume de Schmargult où vous pouvez également vous garer, même avec un camping-car (nuitée autorisée, il faut juste s'inscrire).
Il y a quelques sections difficiles qui traversent des pistes de ski (raide en montée et en descente). À la fin, vous revenez simplement sur le même chemin qu'au départ. Total d'environ 14 km.
