A l’emplacement de l’actuel «Quartier Ville Haute », s’étendaient les ateliers de fabrication, les services d’emballage et d’expédition ainsi que les bureaux de la « Société des Frères Adt ». Firme de réputation internationale jusqu’à la Première Guerre mondiale, la manufacture Adt était la principale entreprise de main-d’œuvre de Forbach au cours de la seconde moitié du XIXème siècle. A partir des années 1990, l’espace a été totalement restructuré dans le cadre d’une zone d’aménagement concerté.
