On the site of the present "Quartier Ville Haute", the manufacturing workshops, the packing and shipping departments as well as the offices of the "Société des Frères Adt" were located. A firm of international reputation up to the First World War, the Adt factory was Forbach's main labour company in the second half of the 19th century. From the 1990s onwards, the space was completely restructured as part of a concerted development area.
