Au cœur d’une ancienne manufacture de chaussures bordelaise, se nichent des artistes en création. De son activité passée ne restent qu'une architecture singulière et un nom peint sur la façade.
Aujourd’hui La Manufacture de Chaussures, est un CDCN, soit un lieu de fabrique artistique et de diffusion du spectacle vivant, implanté à Bordeaux, et depuis peu, à La Rochelle. Cette scène de danse contemporaine teintée de pluridisciplinarité (théâtre, musique), met en lumière des artistes locaux, nationaux et internationaux tout au long de l’année à travers une programmation rigoureuse.
Les publics : amateurs, curieux, passionnés, sont accueillis dans un cadre original pour y boire un verre ou se ravir les papilles grâce à la cuisine créative de la Cantine de l’Usine avant ou après chaque représentation.
