At the heart of a former shoe factory in Bordeaux, a niche of innovating artists is taking root. From it's past activity, there only remains the building's singular architecture as well as a name painted on the facade.
Today La Manufacture de Chaussures is a CDCN*, a place of artistic production and distribution of the performing arts located in Bordeaux and, recently, in La Rochelle. This contemporary dance space, tinged with multidisciplinarity (theater, music, etc), highlights local, national and international artists throughout the year by means of a rigorous programme.
The public, everyone from curious amateurs to seasoned enthusiasts, is welcomed in an original setting to have a drink or delight one's taste buds thanks to the creative cuisine of La Cantine de l'Usine before or after each performance.
