Près du Pont Valentré, cette ancienne station de pompage des eaux construite au XIXe siècle a conservé sa machinerie d’origine. Elle est aménagée en espace d’interprétation sur Cahors et son Pays.
Elle accueille des expositions permanentes et temporaires en lien avec la thématique de l'eau.
Exposition permanente : "De l'eau pour tous"
En moyenne 146 litres d’eau par personne et par jour sont consommés en France.
Dans le monde, près de 2 milliards de personnes n’ont pas accès à l’eau potable.
Première usine d’eau potable de la ville de Cahors aménagée en espace d’accueil et d’exposition, la Maison de l’eau propose avec « De l’eau pour tous » un aperçu de l’eau sur terre.
