La porte de la mer est une porte de la ville subsistant de l’enceinte fortifiée. Sur sa façade, on distingue des armoiries sculptées dans la pierre durant la Guerre de Cent Ans : 2 coqs hardis et une patte levée supportant un heaume de chevalier. Cette porte a été élargi au fil du temps pour s'adapter à la modernisation des transports afin de laisser passer les petites charrettes, les grandes calèches puis les voitures.
