Cropton est un village et une paroisse civile du district de Ryedale dans le Yorkshire du Nord, en Angleterre. Il se trouve à la frontière du parc national des North York Moors, à 3 miles au nord-ouest de Pickering. Le nom du village dérive de l'anglais ancien, ce qui signifie un gonflement, un monticule ou une colline avec une ferme, un établissement ou un village. Lors du recensement de 2001, la paroisse avait une population de 254, atteignant 321 lors du recensement de 2011.
La Great Yorkshire Brewery, une microbrasserie, est située à l'arrière du New Inn, à la périphérie du village. À l'arrière de la brasserie se trouve le site d'un château à motte et bailey, connu sous le nom de Round Hill, qui est un monument ancien classé.
