Trawsfynydd est un village linéaire dans le Gwynedd, au Pays de Galles, près du réservoir de Llyn Trawsfynydd, et adjacent à la A470 au nord de Bronaber et Dolgellau et à 10 km au sud de Blaenau Ffestiniog.
La superficie totale de la communauté est de 12 010 hectares avec une population de seulement 973 habitants. La zone est peu peuplée avec chaque hectare habité par une moyenne de 0,07 personnes. Le village est typique de nombreux villages gallois. Il y a une épicerie, un pub, un bureau de tabac, une pharmacie, un garage, une station-service et une succursale d'un grand marchand agricole. La communauté comprend Bronaber.
