La Royal Air Force Brize Norton dans le Oxfordshire, à environ 121 km au nord-ouest de Londres, est la plus grande base de la Royal Air Force. Elle est proche des villages de Brize Norton , Carterton et Witney.
La base abrite des unités de transport aérien, de ravitaillement en vol et de parachutistes. Des avions comme le Lockheed C-130 Hercules, le Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, l’Airbus A400M Atlas et l’Airbus Voyager ont remplacé le Vickers VC10 mis hors service en septembre 2013 et le Lockheed TriStar en mars 2014.
