La gare de Hythe est le terminus nord du chemin de fer Romney, Hythe et Dymchurch. La gare possède des quais courbes, une voie de libération de locomotive, un ancien dépôt de locomotives, un poste de signalisation avec un cadre de 16 leviers, et une table tournante. En termes de réservations de passagers, Hythe est la gare la plus fréquentée du chemin de fer.
Adjacent à la gare, l'ancienne maison du chef de gare est maintenant une résidence privée. Située entre la gare et le canal Royal Military, se trouve The Light Railway Restaurant, qui a été initialement construit par la compagnie de chemin de fer mais vendu avant même d'être achevé. Il a finalement été racheté par le chemin de fer en février 2015.
