La rivière Ithon est un important affluent de rive gauche de la rivière Wye dans le Powys, au centre du Pays de Galles. Elle prend sa source dans le large plateau entre l'extrémité ouest de Kerry Hill et la colline de Glog à l'ouest, et coule initialement vers le sud jusqu'à Llanbadarn Fynydd. Elle suit ensuite un parcours sinueux vers le sud via les villages de Llanbister, Llanddewi Ystradenny et Penybont avant de tourner au sud-ouest, puis de faire demi-tour vers le nord en direction de Crossgates. De là, elle reprend un cours au sud-ouest, passant près de Llandrindod Wells et du site du château de Cefnllys jusqu'à une confluence avec la Wye, à 1 mille au sud de Newbridge-on-Wye.
