Les studios Townhouse sont situés au 150 Goldhawk Road, dans le quartier de Hammersmith et Fulham à Londres. Ils se trouvent à 7 kilomètres du centre-ville le plus proche, sur une route principale, à l'extrémité Ouest du centre de Londres.
Créés par Richard Branson en 1978, ils sont aménagés dans les anciens studios de télévision "Goldhawk Film Sound Studios" rachetés pour l'occasion. Ils sont plus tard rachetés par EMI et appartiennent à Sanctuary Records depuis 2002. Le bâtiment comprend trois studios et une salle de masterisation séparée.
