Le 22 aout 2015, un avion de chasse Hawker Hunter s’est écrasé à Shoreham-by-Sea, 10 km à l'ouest de Brighton sur la côte sud de l’Angleterre, lors d’un meeting aérien à l'aéroport de Shoreham, provoquant la mort de 11 personnes au sol et en blessant 14 autres.
C'est le plus meurtrier accident de spectacle aérien en Grande-Bretagne depuis le crash de 1952 au meeting aérien de Farnborough qui a tué 31 personnes.
L'avion de chasse effectuait plusieurs figures aériennes pour une démonstration. Le Hunter T.7, s'est écrasé au sol contre quatre véhicules, sur un axe routier majeur à Shoreham avant de finir sa course dans les buissons.
