Le château de Stockport était un château promontoire à Stockport, Cheshire. Le château était dans la ville médiévale, surplombant un gué sur la rivière Mersey. Il a été documenté pour la première fois en 1173, mais la prochaine mention date de 1535 lorsqu'il était en ruines. Ce qui restait du château a été démoli en 1775.
Le château de Stockport était un château urbain dans la ville de Stockport. La ville médiévale se trouvait du côté sud d'une vallée à la confluence des rivières Goyt et Tame, où elles forment la rivière Mersey. Le site du château est une avancée en grès de 10 mètres de haut, surplombant un gué. Le château était flanqué de falaises ou de pentes abruptes sur ses côtés nord, sud et ouest.
