Le ravin de Katafyki s'étend sur plus de cinq kilomètres vers le petit village de Fourni. Katafyki (anciennement Katafighi) signifie 'sortie vers' en grec, car c'était le chemin original depuis l'ancienne Hermione vers le Nord, en direction d'Épidavros, Kazarma, Tirynthe et Mycènes. C'était aussi un endroit où de nombreux villageois d'Ermioni se cachaient autrefois des pillages brutaux des Turcs et des pirates. Aujourd'hui, en marchant à travers le ravin bordé d'arbres, le chemin passe près d'une petite chapelle, traverse un pont, au-dessus de sources jaillissantes, surtout au printemps lorsque toutes les fleurs sauvages sont en abondance, à travers des oliveraies et des champs enchanteurs avec des pins.
