Šibenik est une ville et une municipalité de Croatie située en Dalmatie. Elle est le chef-lieu du comitat de Šibenik-Knin. Au recensement de 2011, la municipalité comptait 46 332 habitants, dont 94,02 % de Croates et la ville seule comptait 34 302 habitants.Dans la localité de Danilo, se trouve un site archéologique important, qui atteste de la présence humaine dès le néolithique. La céramique de Danilo a donné son nom à la "culture de Danilo" .
