Le pont Michael Davitt est un pont tournant qui traverse la péninsule de Corraun pour rejoindre l'île Achill. Il est nommé d'après Michael Davitt, un militant social irlandais du 19ème siècle, un fénien et le fondateur de la National Land League, qui l'a ouvert officiellement en 1887. En 1947, l'ancien pont, trop petit pour transporter adéquatement le trafic véhiculaire, a été abandonné et un nouveau pont a été construit le long du côté sud de l'original, également appelé le pont Michael Davitt.
