On pourrait littéralement l'appeler un château d'eau. Car c'est ce que cette tour d'église du 14ème siècle de Graun est devenue à la suite du barrage construit ici en 1948-1950. En conséquence, le village original de Graun et une grande partie de Reschen ont été inondés. 163 maisons ont été démolies et 523 hectares de terres ont été inondés. Aujourd'hui, la tour de l'église d'Alt-Graun, le vieux centre du village de Graun, qui dépasse de la surface, est un rappel de l'ancien village.
