Domodossola est une commune italienne d'un peu plus de 18 000 habitants, située dans la province du Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, dans la région Piémont, région de la plaine du Pô dans le nord-ouest de l'Italie.
Le 25 janvier 1913 Domodossola fut le point d’atterrissage du monoplan de Jean Bielovucic qui franchit les Alpes en 28 minutes en partant de Brigue.
