Prato allo Stelvio (915m; 3000 habitants) s'est développé en tant que station touristique grâce à son emplacement favorable à l'entrée de la large vallée boisée de Solda (un affluent droit de l'Adige), perdant presque complètement son ancien aspect de village. À voir, l'église Saint-Jean datant du 13e siècle avec un chœur arrondi caractéristique de style roman. L'intérieur possède des fresques datant d'environ 1400.
