Le territoire de la commune s'étend sur 6,18 km2 au nord du pays et comprend une partie principale à l'ouest, centrée autour du village de Gamprin, bordée par le Rhin, et une seconde, plus petite à l'est, séparée par la commune d'Eschen.
La commune est administrée par un conseil municipal de dix membres, dont le maire, tous élus pour quatre ans par les citoyens. À l'issue des élections de 2019, le Parti progressiste des citoyens détient six sièges et l'Union patriotique quatre.
