Le complexe faisait partie de l'Atlantikwall. Deux bunkers du complexe Stützpunkt Lohengrin sont ouverts au public. La distance entre les bunkers est d'environ 200 mètres. Les murs et le toit sont en béton d'une épaisseur de 2 mètres. L'autre complexe de bunkers à Zoutelande a été nommé d'après une autre opéra de Richard Wagner : Stützpunkt Meistersinger.
