Autour de ce site historique, il y a plein d'antennes parabolique. Au début des années 70, c'était un point culminant scientifique ici. Cet observatoire radio était longtemps l'oreille la plus sensible sur terre pour observer l'espace. Le Contrôle de Mission se trouvait juste à côté de l'ancienne baraque où Anne Frank et sa famille ont fait du travail forcé.
