Jansgeleen, ou comme on l'appelle actuellement, mais de manière incorrecte, Sint-Jansgeleen, est le nom d'un site historique entre Geleen et Spaubeek. Le domaine et ses annexes tirent leur nom de l'ancienne Maison ou Château de Spaubeek qui s'appelait traditionnellement Seigneur Jans Geleen ou Seigneur Johans Geleen. L'histoire de ce important fief à la limite nord de la région collineuse du sud du Limbourg semble complètement oubliée, depuis -- et aussi en raison de -- l'émergence de l'industrie minière dans la région minière occidentale autour de Geleen-Lutterade.
