Gendt est une ville et le nom d'une ancienne municipalité dans la région de l'Over-Betuwe, située près d'Arnhem et de Nimègue dans la province néerlandaise de Gueldre. Gendt se trouve au bord de la rivière Waal, à cinq kilomètres au nord-est de Nimègue. Elle compte 7141 habitants (au 1er janvier 2009). Gendt a reçu ses privilèges urbains en 1233. En 2001, la municipalité a fusionné avec les communes de Huissen et Bemmel pour former la nouvelle commune de Lingewaard (initialement appelée Bemmel). En outre, la commune de Lingewaard comprend les noyaux d'Angeren, Doornenburg, Haalderen et Ressen.
