La Chapelle dans le Zand est une église paroissiale et un lieu de pèlerinage dans le quartier éponyme de Roermond. La chapelle est construite dans un style néo-gothique, selon un design de l'architecte Johannes Kayser. Elle a longtemps servi d'église monastique pour le couvent des Rédemptoristes attenant. En 1418, le conseil municipal de Roermond a donné l'ordre de construire une simple chapelle de quartier dédiée à Marie, ‘buyten Zwartbruecker porten aen den Zande’. Dans cette chapelle se trouvait une statue de Marie – mentionnée pour la première fois en 1578 – qui est devenue célèbre grâce à des exaucements de prières. Au fil du temps, la légende de Notre-Dame dans le Zand a émergé autour de cette image miraculeuse. Les exaucements de prières font que la chapelle est encore aujourd'hui un lieu de pèlerinage connu.
