Le moulin de Vaalsbroek est situé sur la route provinciale Epen-Vaals, près du château de Vaalsbroek. Le moulin de Vaalsbroek est alimenté par l'eau d'un réservoir qui est approvisionné par les sources du domaine du château. L'histoire du domaine de Vaalsbroek est étroitement liée à la famille Von Clermont. Ces fabricants de draps ont transféré leur entreprise au XVIIe siècle d'Aix-la-Chapelle à Vaals. Johann Arnold von Clermont a fait rénover en 1761 le château de Vaalsbroek, déjà construit en 1733.
