La gare de Bovenkarspel-Grootebroek est située dans la province de Hollande-Septentrionale sur la ligne de chemin de fer reliant Enkhuizen à Hoorn, à la limite des villages de Bovenkarspel et Grootebroek.
Le bâtiment de la gare d'origine date de 1884 et était de type standard Hemmen. La gare possédait autrefois une vaste zone de triage de marchandises destinée à la vente aux enchères de légumes et de fruits De Tuinbouw, située à côté de la gare. À présent, seuls les soi-disant "Landtongen" subsistent. En 1965, l'ancien bâtiment de la gare a été démoli et remplacé par un bâtiment plus petit à structure en béton.
