Au 17ème siècle, le Lek sur la route Utrecht-Gorinchem était traversé par un ferry entre Nieuwegein et Vianen, comme le montre cette impression d'Abraham Rademaker de 1630. À l'époque, il n'y avait pas encore de pont.
Les piétons et les cyclistes peuvent continuer à traverser avec le ferry. Veuillez noter les horaires : du lundi au vendredi de 07h00 à 18h00, les samedis, dimanches et jours fériés de 10h00 à 18h00. Du 1er novembre au 1er avril, le ferry ne fonctionne pas le dimanche et pendant les vacances de Noël. Du jour de l'Ascension jusqu'au 31 août, le ferry fonctionne les vendredis, samedis, dimanches et jours fériés jusqu'à 20h30. Les cyclistes paient un ticket à bord pour 1,50 € : uniquement avec une carte EC !
Lorsque le ferry ne fonctionne pas, vous pouvez traverser le Lek par le pont A2 à proximité.
