Andenes est le centre administratif de la municipalité d'Andøy, qui est située dans le district de Vesterålen dans le comté de Nordland, en Norvège. Le village d'Andenes est la colonie la plus au nord de l'île d'Andøya. À l'est se trouve l'île de Senja, et à l'ouest l'horizon infini de l'océan Atlantique Nord. Le phare d'Andenes se trouve le long du port et peut être vu de loin. L'aéroport d'Andøya, Andenes est situé juste au sud du village, à proximité de la route départementale norvégienne 82.
Le village de 1,77 kilomètre carré compte une population de 2 694 habitants, ce qui donne au village une densité de population de 1 522 habitants par kilomètre carré.
