La chapelle de Sigismond, ou chapelle Zygmunt, ("Kaplica Zygmuntowska"), adjacente au mur sud de la cathédrale, est l'un des exemples les plus remarquables d'architecture à Cracovie et peut-être "le plus pur exemple d'architecture Renaissance en dehors de l'Italie." Financée par le roi Sigismond Ier le Vieux, elle a été construite entre 1517 et 1533 par Bartolomeo Berrecci.
Une chapelle à base carrée avec un dôme doré abrite les tombes de son fondateur ainsi que celles de ses enfants, le roi Sigismond II Auguste et Anna Jagiellonka.
