Borlänge est une ville suédoise voisine de Falun . Elle est située au nord ouest de Stockholm, dans le comté de Dalarna. Elle est la ville principale de la commune de Borlänge. Environ 41 700 personnes y vivent .
Deux grosses unités industrielles se trouvent à Borlänge, une papeterie et une aciérie . Deux sièges d’organisations nationales s’y trouvent : les voies ferrées et celui des routes .
Un gros centre commercial, la « Kupolen » a été construit il y a quelques années, visant notamment les gens de passage. Ceci a un petit peu « affaibli » le centre-ville, mais fait de cette ville la référence shopping dans le Dalarna.
